This month's lunch will be held at the Cabrillo College Horticulture Center with a presentation and tour from Horticulture Instructor and Department Chair, Peter Shaw.
The Horticulture Department sits on 11 beautiful view acres, overlooking the entire campus and the Monterey Bay. A state-of-the art nursery includes greenhouses, shade house, raised beds, lab classroom, and Botanic Gardens featuring one of the largest Salvia collections in the world.
For over thirty years the Horticulture Program has served both career students and home gardeners with a diverse range of classes including Arboriculture, Basic Horticulture, Business Aspects of Horticulture, Crop Management & Nursery Production, Edible Landscaping, Greenhouse Operation and Design, Irrigation, Sustainable Landscaping, Landscape Design, Landscape Restoration, Native Plants, Organic Agriculture, Hydroponics and Substrate Culture, Pest Management, Plant Materials, and Permaculture.
A delicious lunch will be catered by Whole Foods Market Capitola.
Seating is limited. Advance reservation and payment required.
