The City of Capitola Recreation Division and Capitola Village Business Improvement Association are coordinating volunteer efforts to clean-up recent storm debris on Capitola Beach and along the Esplanade.
The next cleanup event will take place on Sunday, February 19 from 9am-11am.
Volunteers will meet at the Bandstand at Esplanade Park in Capitola Village where they will receive a safety orientation.
Participants should bring garden/work gloves, small buckets to collect trash, and trash grabbers (will be provided if needed…thank you Home Depot).
Please park in the Upper and Lower village parking lots.
Minimum age for this event is 10 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Coffee will kindly be provided for volunteers by Castagnola Deli Cafe and soda by Britannia Arms Capitola.
It takes a village, and we are grateful for ours!
