Curated, Capitola Village's newest art gallery, invites the community to their Grand Opening Celebration. The Capitola-Soquel Chamber, with Capitola Mayor Jacques Bertrand, will kick off the celebration with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5pm, followed by light appetizers, wine tasting provided by Capitola Wine Bar, and painting demonstrations by gallery artists Carrie Clayden and Noelle Correia.
Artists and Opening Exhibition The 14 artists represented by Curated are award winning professionals working in contemporary and traditional art forms and have connections to the Bay Area, Santa Cruz and Capitola. The opening exhibit will highlight the work of: Ellen Brook, Carrie Clayden, Marie Cameron, Noelle Correia, Michael Eckerman, Jane Ferguson, Ellen Howard, Dee Hooker, Melissa Kreisa, Lorraine Lawson, Jeff Owen, Gail Ragains, Jay Ruland, and Neil Simmons.
Classes, workshops and special events: This jewel of a space will be used as a community gathering place for classes, workshops, artist talks, demonstrations, and special events.
The mission of Curated is to promote a passion for the visual arts. Classes, workshops, artist talks, demonstrations and changing exhibitions will be posted on the website www.curatedbythesea.com, as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
